It was another day

It was a day like any other, nothing special about it at all. The sun was shining, well scorching actually, my face as I strolled down the street. There were birds singing, well so I assumed, because all I could hear was the music blaring out of my iPod.

I could have said that the day was unusually hot, but seeing as it had been over 40 degrees for a month, one could even call it cold. No one seemed to be doing anything, as if the heat froze us in our daily motions. A car drove past, not even giving me a second glance. I thought ‘great, I’m invisible’, and then thought about how average I was. I had pale skin, green eyes, and long red hair (not the fluoro colour).

I came back to reality, walking in the scorching sun with my iPod, when I suddenly tripped over a crack in the footpath. I quickly scrapped myself off the ground and tried to keep walking as if nothing had happened. This proved to especially difficult, considering my iPod...
