Out in the wilderness, where nothing ever comes, lives a young girl all alone. She waits every night, by the light of the moon, for something unknown. She has lived here as long as her memory can serve her, but before that, who knows?

Her land of wilderness stretches beyond what the imagination could fathom. Yet it is still unexplored and secret. She never wanders too far from her lonesome cottage, before the call of the night beckons her home.

Her cottage is small, yet warm. She has made it a home, full of colour and life. It is covered in plants and flowers that are pulsating with an unseen magic. If only she understood the extent of the curse. If only she knew that she wasn’t alone.

‘Acacia, what does that mean?’ The girl wonders to herself. ‘Is that a flower, or could it be my name?’ She sits alone, knitting a scarf for the cold months ahead. She tried to remember who she was and why she was here. She had knowledge beyond her years, though she was still unaware of this. She longed to leave this place and find her place in the world, though she always felt that there was something holding her back. Every time she made up her mind to leave, the roses would start to
