A Piece of Peace

It doesn’t mean

When you die

Separate are we

You and I

You’re not so far

Away from me

Just a place

That I can’t see

When in life

We lived as one

But still in death

We are not done

We’ll always be friends

For time to come

You’re more special

Than anyone

Though your body

Is not here

Your spirit is close

And always near

We shed our tears

And cried away

For our loving friend

Sees no more days

Though the night

Has come for now

And you have done

Your final bow

Life lives on

No matter the place

We’ll never forget

Your happy face

Truth be told

I miss you so

I feel all sore

And feel all low

But then I think

Of our time together

No matter where

Together we are forever

You look down

On us all

And say you're there

Just give a call

I know you’re sad

I miss them too

But please don’t cry

They still love you
